Let's see now...falcon26 wrote:Well I got the P182 and I have to say I'm pretty disappointed. My temps are pretty much the same as my coolermaster wave case and my video card still goes full throttle after 5 minutes. Its a bit quieter that's it. I was expecting much better temps but that doesn't seem to be the case....
(i) you're using an EVGA 8800 Ultra Superclocked - correct me if I'm wrong but that's an overclocked Ultra...which is in fact just an overclocked 8800GTX - so it's a heavily overclocked 8800GTX - I'm guessing that's gonna run quite hot even if you dunk it in a bucket of liquid nitrogen;
(ii) your system is quieter than it was inside the Coolermaster...uhhh...job done?
(iii) hard to know what else is going on with the lack of other significant details starting with what CPU cooler you're using.
Other than that I'm with crispyfish - v. bad motorcycle. Go kart? Now that's a whole other bag of eels...
Say, is that wave master a good surf board? Because that's what the name implies ![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)
Anyway, if the P182 isn't fulfilling your needs, than you're either asking too much, or you haven't set it up right and what not. A case doesn't automatically work for any setup you put in it, for good results, you have to do a bit of work. An overclocker takes steps of a few mhz at a time, as a silencer, be happy if you can take steps of a few degrees.
