Antec Fusion 430 height

Post by kfuglsang » Sun Nov 04, 2007 8:17 am

Hi all,

I've ordered an Antec Fusion 430 case and a Geforce 8800GT graphics card.
I want to replace the stock cooler with an aftermarket one, but I'm uncertain of the height of the case.

Could anyone with the case take some measurements from the motherboard to the top of the case and measurements from the top of the graphics card to the top of the case (and mention which graphics card it is)?

Any help very much appreciated!

Best regards

measuring from the top of the slots.. 13- 14 mm to the top. from top of motherboard you have about 120 mm to the top.

hope this helps..

That is a pretty long 9 inch plus graphics card.. the length really separates the card and heat from rest of case. in addition to having air blow out side, you might want to consider removing cover separating motherboard section from power supply to draw out the extra heat via the power supply fan, which kind of defeats the purpose of what Antec was trying to accomplish, but this will drop your graphics card temps a bunch. Try to leave slot open to allow more air in if you can spare the slots.
