Mini-ITX/Micro-ATX server cases?

Enclosures and acoustic damping to help quiet them.

Mini-ITX/Micro-ATX server cases?

Post by merlin » Fri Aug 21, 2009 9:50 pm

Besides the semi-infamous Chenbro mini-itx server case, I have seen very little that's promising for a 4+ hard drive server that's in a small form factor. Has anyone seen a good server case for 4 hard drives in a mini-itx or micro-atx form factor that looks promising for silence? I really dislike that the Chenbro is both expensive and has 70mm fan slots. I'm hoping to possibly build a mini-itx westmere server.

I know this is a silly question but do you know if mini-itx cases can hold a graphics card and one pci card?

Supermicro has a micro-ATX tower server chassis:

Last I checked it was available at Provantage, Newegg, and others.

Of course it's still large compared to a mini-ITX case.
