Quiet Big Tower Case needed.......

Post by KWILD » Mon Jan 26, 2004 2:09 pm

Hi to all.
Im plannig to build a new digital audio workstation and im thinking to buy an alluminium quiet case.
I've read a lot of great infoz on that site but all the cases i've see (Antec,Lian etc.) are mid tower only.
Im looking for a really quiet BIG TOWER case something like the ANTEC 3700 but BIG!
Somebody can help me?

thanx a lot....

Thanx for the infoz.......
Well, and for a NON alluminium quiet case (BIG/FULL Tower too)?
I've read on silent pc that the so advertised "thermal conduction" of the alluminium cases are a joke....anybody have experiences with that?
See ya,mates.

I don't have an aluminum case, but according to previous messages I have read, it would only provide any thermal benefits for any device actually touching the case. Like your storage drives. It wouldn't help your overall case temps, cpu temps, video card temps, PSU temps....

Basically, it's noiser because it's lighter than steel, but it weighs less, and is easier to transport (also looks more pimpin' than a normal steel case :) )

I'd say so, my case doesn't seem any cooler than steel. Ambient has remained the same (it's in the same room) & the internal temps have be almost exactly the same.

Big Steel? Try www.coolcases.com & look for the Chenbro "genie" - built like a tank & has more space.

Try servercase.com, and look in their advanced server case area for the AMS server cube - it's big and built like a supertanker. If you need more room I 'd suggest looking at a rack.
