foe the last few days I have been realizing this forum very helpful to me.

New forum member, longtime SPCR reader
I've been reading SPCR for about two years now, and finally registered on the forums just now.
I've been suffering with my old, slow, noisy computer for about four years. Finally, with starting a new job, I've got some extra cash, and new parts are on the way! Nearly everything was picked out from reviews and/or forum discussions on SPCR, so hopefully I'll have a fairly quiet PC from the start.
(Old PC is an Athlon 2800+, 2GB DDR, 160GB IDE HDD, ATI HD2600, in a Shuttle breadbox case with a single 80mm fan that I can hear from the next room over).
Everything should be here on Wednesday, so I'll be building and taking pics to post in the gallery then. Won't go into details here, but it's a budget (<$500 total) AM3 system in an Antec MiniP180.

Hi Guys & Girls,
I'm Gergely, computer scientist and hardware enthusiast from Budapest, Hungary
I was drawn here after finding several relevant and useful topics in the past few weeks as I undergo some upgrades to my own silent system.
I hope I can make useful contributions.
Thanks
