William Shatner, singing Pulp's Common People
Yes, it is most peculiar.
In case you want a link (and believe me) - here:

I'm listening to John Mellencamp - The Best That I Could Do (1978-1988). It's good stuff, Presently, I am listening to Track 12 - Cherry Bomb.
I am listening with 128Kbps WMA files through a 5-channel home theater reciever, on a pair of DIY speakers featuring two high-quality 5.25" woofers and a spectacular aluminum dome tweeter made by SEAS of Norway. Oh, yeah. I also have a 500w RMS subwoofer (that I also built), a clone of the Stryke Audio Thunder 12.3 (http://www.stryke.com) with a Stryke AV12 woofer and dual PR-15 passive radiators. It's more bass than I need. The amplifier is a Class-G topology (designed by Bob Carver and featuring his Tracking Downconverter amplifier technology.) I made some irresonsible decisions in the cabinet construction, and now it weighs a ton (actually, just over 100 lbs) and is back-breaking to move anywhere. 20 Hz is fun to watch.
