William Shatner - Has been
Yes, its the original William Shatner. I'm just saying this because I do always get asked about it. What I like about him is his slight sarcasm.
You are gonna die, but you will have enough time to ask yourself: Why did I waste it? Why didn't I taste it?

His version of Mr Tambourine Man from the 60s is a blast. He speaks the words in a hesitant voice against a cheesy backing arrangement. The last line is screeched as if he was about to be carted off to a padded cell, which may not have been a bad idea given the lack of taste he was showing here.
Nimmoy was not amused and raised both eyebrows apparently; that’s Vulcan body language for ‘Beatnik pussy’.
Leonard got his revenge by recording a stirring version of ‘If I had a Hammer’.
Those guys looked clean cut in the TV series, but boy, they must have been walking pharmacies on the weekend.
Here’s a LINK to details of their Best of Album, which was aptly titled ‘Spaced Out’. :D

This Shatner guy is quite funny.. Having my screen coated with fizzy cola was seriously close at the I'll kill you part of this bit from I Can't Get Behind That
BILL: What about the men who say 'Do as I do. Believe in what I say, for your own good, or I'll kill you!' I can't get behind that!

Oha nd this one would suit well in the recent threads about cars...
BILL: Yeah! And what about student drivers using my streets to learn? If you learn to play the drums you got to go to a studio! Go to a parking lot, for God's sake! Why are you jeopardizing my life? I can't get behind a student driver!
ROLLINS: I can't behind a driver who drives like a student driver! If you're going to drive an urban assault vehicle then get off the phone and keep your eyes on the road!

I can only guess what the urban assault vehicle is

Yeah, I think I notice a pattern - a lack of independant music.

John Lee Hooker - You're right to suffer, it serves you right.

I’d love to have heard him in a small club. A touch of blues magic from a true original.
