Making HD images
Hi there, i am planning on a small system change that includes changeing from 3 HDs (1 system HD 2 Storeage) to 2 HDs I was wondering how imageing works with programs like nortan Ghost could i make an image of the Old system HD and just set it on the new system HD? and then everything would work just the same?
Thank for the help

Yes, that should work just fine. Acronis TrueImage Home is another app you might want to consider.
Having said that, I've had a couple of occasions where cloning the system drive just *didn't* work, for reasons which completely escape me. There was nothing wrong with the hardware, the process just gave up partway through.
It should normally be a simple process, but you should probably be prepared to reinstall from scratch just in case something goes wrong.

I use Casper XP to copy one HD to another when upgrading. Its very easy, low cost and works every time. http://www.fssdev.com/

I used it once to test out my existing configuration on a 2.5" HDD rather than my normal 3.5" HDD. Cloned it from the 3.5 to the 2.5, ran like that for a while, then cloned back to the 3.5" HDD. I thought it was pretty slick.
