Vapor-x or aftermarket cooling for a 5750?

They make noise, too.

Vapor-x or aftermarket cooling for a 5750?

Post by Fire-Flare » Fri Jun 18, 2010 6:31 am

I know that Vapor-xes are silent when idling, but I've never heard one at load. If you guys know a cooler that keeps the card colder during games without any noise at all I'd love to know.

Personally I've also had my eye on Arctic Cooling's Twin Turbo Pro (I've read that it's silent at all speeds) but I can't find any comparisons between it and a Vapor.

I'm sorry I should have been more specific. I'm looking for an active cooler.

Thanks anyway.

umm, aftermarket cooling for 5750 is very limited, AC TTPro will not fit.
vapor-x is ok i think but I do know the HIS iCooler one is pretty good, its essential using an arctic cooling L2 pro, techpowerup measured the sound levels and appears to be pretty quiet

Aftermarket cooling on the 57xx cards depends on the layout of the card. If it's a reference card there's not much to choose from as the GPU is too close to the backplate (I/O shield) for any of the coolers to fit.

If it's a non-reference card your options start opening up.

This is the model I'd be getting and I believe it will fit, but is it the best option?

That's a reference card. Some coolers may fit but your mileage may vary. I wouldn't have any amount of faith in an aftermarket cooler fitting properly on that card.

I don't think it will be a problem.
