Looks like YAZC (yet another zalman clone). Probably good performance, but it'll probably be noisy (although not as bad as TT "turbo" mode on their clone  ).

I don't think it will be loud, but it'll probably be weak. It's only got a thin 60mm fan, the fins don't look very good, it only has one heatpipe while even the thermalfake versions have two, and the fan design looks horrible, look at how much of it is blocked by the metal thing holding it in place.

I don't think it would have been possible for them to screw it up so much if they were purposely ripping of zalman

I absolutely agree with Qwertyiopisme on the YAZC side of things. That was my first thought when I saw that critter... :).

I wouln't call this a zalman knockoff, a big flat heat sink design is rather natural for making maximum use of PCI/AGP space. People here seem to get overly defensive of zalman designs. Don't get me wrong, the CNPS7000 knockoffs are very bad, but I think cooler master tried very hard to be original because, face it...

if they found as many ways to improve the ZM design as they did to screw it up, it would be one hell of a cooler!

You mean that they were not trying to screw it up ?

I can guarantee that I am no fan of Zalman products although I have bought a few - Primarily due to the lack of viable alternatives . The most recent 3 days ago , and it was a mistake.

Sorry for bumping this thread from the graveyard, but I've been looking for a cheap passive cooler for the Radeon 9800 Pro I want to get, and this one seems to fit the bill perfectly. It costs only ~$13 at NCIX, compared with the $50 for the Zalman passive cooler.

It'll obviously be inferior to the Zalman, but the reviews don't make it look too bad, even when in passive mode.
