I suppose it will fit a X800 XT, at least that's practically what it says:
"Compatible with all VGA cards with original heatsink mounting holes
*Cannot be used with Matrox VGA cards and NVIDIA PCX series VGA cards"

Maybe, just maybe, they mean this - http://www.nvidia.com/page/fx_5700.html - the nVidia PCX series Lol, seriously, the PCX series is the PCI-E version of the FX cards that uses the bridge chip on seperate packaging. I assume that any other nVidia chip using a seperate bridge chip would also have the same issues. It says not compatible with nVidia PCX series... does this mean all nVidia PCI Express cards? Or only the ones with the bridge chip?

I'm pretty sure "PCX" is Zalman's funny way of saying "PCI-e to AGP bridge". Take a look at this post on the Zalman forums, where the Zalman rep says that the ZM80D won't work on those 6600GT AGP cards, either.
Okay, i gotcha now... i just thought PCX might have been some kind of abbreviation for PCI Express.... good news for one of my friends then, who has the 6600GT PCI Express version.
Bah... i'm getting a 6600GT AGP which has the bridge chip... guess there aren't any quiet cooling solutions that will fit.... I read the other threads about it be there don't seem to be anyone with any success yet. The VF700 isn't out yet but it doesn't look promising.
Though when i look at the picture of this cooler, it looks like it should fit... don't know what the problem is though. Is it the diameter of the holes or something?

You most probably find it will be able to cool the 6600GT AGP - afaik, it's got an on-package bridge chip, which is cooled by the same HSF.Bah... i'm getting a 6600GT AGP which has the bridge chip... guess there aren't any quiet cooling solutions that will fit.... No, the for the 6600GT AGP cards, the chip is not on the GPU package, but separately mounted on the PCB and has its own small heatsink, which is why the GPU, memory and cooler are all slanted; they had to make room for the bridge chip and its little sink.
It's the 6800 PCI-Express cards whose bridge chip are on the GPU package.
There is a big, big difference between the AGP to PCI-Express bridge chip and the PCI-Express to AGP bridge chip.
