No release date state side, it's not even on the U.S. website.

And it can be purchased. I am waiting for one at the moment. Gigabyte also has a fanless 1600XT.

Yes, the MSI seems to be orientated for a better fit. The Asus has a really high clearance on the back (side that goes up).
