I know the stock cooler for the 7900 GTX's boards are really quiet and efficent. But would putting on a a X1 lower the noise even more or are they about the same? Also would your temps be better worse or the same using he X1? The reason I ask is I haven't found a review on this cooler the X1 when using a 7900 GTX.
Thanks

It's not X1 on a 7900 GTX, but on a 7800 GTX 512, which is about 11W hotter and has the same cooling solution (fan settings may be a bit different however):

I'm suspecting that unless you really need the tiny improvement going from the GTX stock cooler to the Accelero, it's going to be a waste of time and money. I find the stock cooler to be very impressive and not something you'd want to take out, especially if you undervolt a bit to keep temps under 70C. Do you own a 7900GTX and find it to be too noisy? There's no reason to think about this until you try it out imho.falcon26 wrote:I know the stock cooler for the 7900 GTX's boards are really quiet and efficent.
