Passive Powercolor HD 4850 SCS3

Powercolor is going to sell a passive version of its 4850 cards called the SCS3. According to a Google search, they have done this before.
What do you guys think of it? Shouldn't the fins be oriented along the card, instead of across? I think it might need a 120mm fan attached to the heatsink.

Ha ha - just noticed this from the FudZilla report:
From what I've read it's almost certain to provide better scope for overclocking than the stock active cooler anywayThe card will likely end up with the reference clocks since passive cooling solution isn't exactly something to go with when you want to overclock the card.
If you check comments on the news of this card most of them are laughing that it's impossible, going to fry etc. apparently not knowing how bad the stock cooler really is, despite being active.
Anyway this is the card I'm waiting for, hopefully it's not too expensive. And as a 12mm fan would be a good complement, it would be nice if they could include the fan-attachment frames that came with the original heatsink (Auras Fridge.)

It is more likely to fry with the stock cooler. The S1 Accelero without any fans attached to it about halves the temperature (80C -> ~40-44C idle).
