Artic cooling Twin turbo pro OR gelid icy vision

Post by karkee » Thu Nov 18, 2010 1:07 pm

Im planning on buying either a 5870 or 6870 and either going for the AC twin turbo pro or icy vision?

Any suggestions ? what would be the most quiet solution here? also do I need to buy other vrm coolers or will the ones coming with either of those do well enough?

According to the Arctic Cooling website the Twin Turbo Pro will work for either of the two cards you mention, but it states that you have to buy the VR001 set of heatsinks if you plan on using it on a 6870. They're not expensive but it is an additional cost to factor in if you go the 6870 route.

The Icy Vision seems to be the more expensive of the two here in the UK, though it may be different where you live. The SPCR review for it can be found here and may provide some useful information.
