How good are Swiftechs' water blocks?

Post by Geeky1 » Thu Aug 05, 2004 9:16 am

I'm looking at picking up 4 Swiftech MCW6000 series CPU blocks, a couple of chipset blocks, and a couple of GPU blocks. Also possibly some hard drive blocks.

Anyhow, what's your opinion on the Swiftech blocks? Also, has anyone seen a water block for the GeForce 6800s? I've got a Leadtek 6800GT I'd like to watercool.

Thanks. :) I really don't like that DangerDen block tho. :(

Clear tops on water blocks make me nervous, and $125 is a little absurd (although given the amount of machining that went into that thing, it's probably justified). I may look into having my grandparents' machine shop make a block for me. Either that or I may just adapt an existing block. :-/

i am using the MCW50 on my vid card. i have been able to oc my card to 410mhz without any artifacts. the gpu block rules.

i am also using the MCW6000-A and have not had any problems with it.
