Laing DDC-Pump 12V Ultra WITH Water Tank or NO Water Tank?
Does anyone know if there is a performance difference between the two?
They have the same noise levels right...?
If I get the one with the water tank does that mean I don't need a reservoir anymore?

Noisewise, I think the reservoir at least imposes further restrictions to placement of the pump as the reservoir should be pretty high on the water loop.slimeballzz wrote:They have the same noise levels right...?

But remember that you do not have to reservoir at all. Check the Chylld's guide for other options like T-line. It's sticky for a reason .
Well the cap on the reservoir canät stand glycol, i have had two caps break using the zalman coolant. They start cracking almost immediately, and finally break in a month or so..
I suggest jsut going with the top and using the top hole on it for inlet, i can't remember where the article was but there was a test at some OC site that showed that flow was clearly impoved by having a top inlet.

According to this article, the acrylic no tank outperforms the acrylic with tank.
And I agree with nici, on the acrylic with no tank and using its top inlet.

Careful!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've gotten some 350s which are rated at 18w, and are noisy as heck. So be careful, read the wattage rating before you buy.nici wrote:The 355 is the 18W version and the 350 the 10W version, so for quiet the 350 is the better choice.
And yea the 10w version is by far the best option: less power consumption, much quieter operation, less heat ouput. More than sufficient for any set up.
