Thoughts on the XS-PC Vostok H2O Kit

Post by Artbyter » Thu Feb 08, 2007 4:00 am

Gday Folks!

Just curious as to anybodies experience with the xs-pc.co.uk's Vostok cooling kit.

120mm Dual path rad, pump and cpu block plus tube's and fittings.

Does anbody know if this is a 3/8" or 1/4" tube kit. My research shows that its a 10/8mm (or 3/8" if I'm right with some of my assumputions).

Any thoughts would be greatly regarded! Down here in Oz in DAMN HOT! if you hadn't known already, from what I've read, this kit should be fine, but I have heard some murmurrings about water block reliability.

Ciao Folks!

Im not sure havn't done much looking into the Vostok, but from what i can gather from a quick google, its a great budget system.

The Vostok distims the doshes!

More usefully, the kit looks nice, but I don't recognize that pump. The pump will set the system's reliability and noise levels. Fan swaps are cheap and easy, pumps not so much.

I suggest getting a known reliable pump. There is nothing worse than learning that the pump is about to die and wondering when you'll be able to use your PC again. Trust me on this one.

pump is most likely an Eheim Station 600. Specifications of the Vostok's pump closely match that of the aforementioned Eheim Station 600.

Vostok just sounded close enough to remind me of "The Gostak and the Doshes."
