Switch out the HD for a WD2500KS or SP2504C.

What resolution do you play games at?

- Swap the Seagate for a WD 2500KS (same price)

- Your PSU is overkill. An S12-430 will save you some $, and it'll be more efficient and quiet.

-Your case is aluminum. Not good. Try the Antec SOLO ($10 more, but if you get the S12, you're still under budget).

Well, you've used up your money on the main components and now you have no money to spend on a good CPU heatsink, fans, etc. :(

Edit: Actually, the S12-380 will be more than enough power for you. Save some more $.

whats so much better about that wd drive?

i was planning on getting that seasonic psu, but this antec is 85$ w/ rebate

ill look into that case also, thx.

since i have no plans on overclocking, i was guessing i wouldnt need something other than a stock heatsink, and i would just see how temps were, if they were rly bad ide get a good heatsink. any one's for a kinda cheap price? as for fans i have plenty.

my games will be at 1280x1024

The WD runs cooler and quieter.

As for the PSU, the S12-380 is the way to go here. It's slightly cheaper than the Antec and you don't have to mess around with rebates.

Well, it is modular, which the Seasonic is not, but in all other respects the Seasonic is the better PSU (less compatibility problems, quieter, more reliable etc).

These people are talking out of their ****, excuse my french. Your proposed setup would not break 200W even at full load. I hear a lot of people talk about future-proofing, but it's very likely when you upgrade your graphics card you will upgrade other things also, including PSU. Future-proofing in the arena of PC components is impossible, everything becomes obsolete so fast. You could even get a Seasonic 330W if you are not overclocking.

The system I built for my brother had a setup very similar to yours, except he had a 7600GT and an E6400. I used the S12-330 in that system and OC'd the CPU to the full extent that the memory allowed (2.6GHz). I had no problems whatsoever.

The Antec SLK3000B can be had for ~$50 after shipping and can be made very quiet.
