The Scythe site only mentions "NINJA PLUS Rev.B"
How does this one compare to the one tested by SPCR.
It comes with a fan. That's the only difference.

That and the fact that the new one is installed by pushpins, something a lot of people complain about. You have to get bolts (with isolating spacers for the undermotherboard) to install it properly.

Thanks for the replies.

A fan as a (paid) bonus won't do any harm.
But the mounting method doesn't sound that good....

Two Questions remain:
- Does it fit on a P5K mobo
- Does the package contain termal grease/paste or something similar?

The new pushpin mounting method on the Ninja Plus Veb.B also put me off buying it.

Instead, I bought the Thermalright Ultra-120 eXtreme (using AS7 thermal paste) with a Yate Loon D12-SL running at 7V.

I am also using an Asus P5k motherboard, and my cpu idles at 28 degrees, and is 46 degrees at load using TAT to stress the processor (all temps measures using coretemp).

I am more than pleased with the results, but the thermalright does cost quite a bit more than the Scythe...

(Btw ignore my sig, that is my old system. havnt updated my sig with my new system yet...)

Is that the standard P5K or the P5K Deluxe?
