Best mATX board?

Post by valkyr » Sun Aug 19, 2007 12:54 am

I am very interested in building a mATX quiet PC.

What are the best mATX board options? What are the disadvantages of mATX based systems?

Thanks.

obiously mATX biggest flaw is its lack for expansion slots. Other than that, there aren't really distadvantages. Some in SPCR intend to fabour mATX due "better silicone" argument, but I wouldn't know about that.

There isn't much mATX for C2D's at the moment. AMD has biggest share in mATX motherboards at the moment.

This Intel mATX mobo is pretty popular among overclockers:

The biggest advantage of an mATX mobo is that you can use smaller cases that use less space.
