Greetings.
Just assembled a new system:
Antec NSK4480
GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3L
MSI NX8600GT-T2D256EZ GeForce 8600GT 256MB GDDR3
Intel Pentium E2180 Allendale 2.0GHz Dual-Core
Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2 x 1GB) (PC2 6400) DDR2 800 SDRAM
Passed POST. Win2K installed. So far, so good.
What are some recommended utilities/diagnostics (ideally free or inexpensive shareware) that I might run to ensure that the RAM is up to par?
Anything I can/should use to check the CPU? Motherboard? Graphics Card?
Many thanks.

ATITool - good for graphics and more.
I've found it to stress CPU and GPU more than trying to run separate stress tests for both.

Here is a good guide to help explain how to use the utilities so that you are looking at the correct readings for CPU temps.

Also it tells you how to run Prime95 for Dual core.
