Hi,
New here and this is the first time I'm building a PC. Here's what I'm planning to get so far:
Case: Antec P182 or Thermaltake Soprano RS 101
PSU: OCZ StealthXstream 600W SLI Ready Power Supply
CPU: Intel e8400
Motherboard: Asus P5e3 Deluxe Wifi Motherboard (already got)
Video Card: Palit 9600GT Sonic
RAM: Corsair 2GB XMS3 DDR3 1333 DHX Dual Channel (already got)
HDD: Seagate 500GB HDD 32MB Cache
I'm not really sure what case to get, or if i should change anything on the list. Any suggestions?
New build, need some advice

P182 kills soprano in terms of silent cooling. Soprano's only good qualities are its looks. And I do not find Soprano that appealing myself. P182 is faaaar better choice.
Corsair VX 450W or Enermazx Modu 82+ 425W would be not just quieter than 600W Stealth but far more effective in terms of power effeciency. I know I have similar kind of set-up and 620W but do be noted: When I got this PSU I had Ati HD 2900-series power hog ^.~

Thanks for the replies. I might upgrade the video card in the near future and I'll probably add 1-2 more HDDs later, that's why I was going for 600W. Or do you say even after I add that that stuff, 450w should be enough?
So I'll probably get Antec P182 but it's kind of hard to find Antec products where I live. If i can't find the antec one, would SopranoRS 101 still be a bad choice? Is there a better thermaltake case I should consider instead?

Coolermaster is a "modifiable" alternative. Since I couldn't get Antec either, I had to modify a CM 534 for quiet computing. I suggest you browsing CoolerMaster website to choose a model, which you would like to modify with. However, Antec is still superior to most cases.Nuage wrote:Thanks for the replies. Btw, take a look at these threads first, and therefore you know how to choose a modifiable case. Good Luck!
