My Troubleshooting with a new zbox and Sony TV

Equipment:

• ZBOXHD-ID34BR-U
• TV Sony Bravia LCD 40" FULLHD ( KLV-40S410A 40 )
• Ultra HDMI 1.3c Cable - 10.2Gbps, 26AWG, 340MHz, 48 Bit, CEC, Gold Plated, 500HI, 1080p, ULT40097

Turned on with everything pluged, TV shows "no signal" on the HDMI input.

1 try:

ZBOX + VGA Cable (with DVI adapter) + Sony TV
Result: Works

(At this point I decided to install the driver from CD, yet nothing changed)

2 try:
ZBOX + CableTVDecoder HDMI (I know this one works) + Sony TV
Result: "No signal"

3 try:
ZBOX + CableTVDecoder HDMI (I know this one works) + Sony TV using another HDMI input ports
Result: "No signal"

4 try:
ZBOX + Ultra HDMI 1.3c Cable + Sony TV using another HDMI input ports
Result: "No signal"

5 try:
DELL notebook + Ultra HDMI 1.3c Cable + Sony TV
Result: Works

6 try:
ZBOX + Ultra HDMI 1.3c Cable + Samsung Monitor 32" FULLHD
Result: Works

Conclusion:
Sony doesn't like zotac ?

I'v read on some forums that using a DVI>HDMI converter would work, that however ignores the Audio part of HDMI connection... And would require me to use another cable pluged onto the headphone outpu of zbox (since the Digital Optical Audio thing doesnt seem to be working either).

I can't really send this back to Tigerdirect, since i'm now in Brazil and the zbox was bought at Miami.

Any ideas?

Different software on the laptop and Zbox?

TVs sometimes have DRM nonsense going. Sony loves DRM nonsense.

Well, dell runs a Windows 7 Home Premium x32, zbox is running x64 version. BUT, first time i turned on, nothing shown, not even zotac logo.
The video onboard for sure is different, I don't remember witch one is on dell but it's quite old one.
