Desktop boards for Socket M - anything still on the market?

Post by deksawyer » Sun Nov 30, 2008 10:41 am

I have a T2080 which, if poss., I'd like to use in a low power WHS set up but I don't have a clue if there are still boards available for this. It's Skt.M I believe....

ITX or uATX, it doesn't matter.

Anyone able to help?

cheers

Can't say about availability of boards for it, but the intel documentation on the t2080 is here:
http://ark.intel.com/cpu.aspx?groupId=29740

ebay searches may turn up something.

Also AOpen 945GMm-HL, which is easier to find than 945GTm-VHL.
There are some ITX ones from Jetway and Commell too.

I own the MSI 915GM Speedster if you can still find it for sale. It works great for me. Thing i like most about it is you can mount standard 478 heatsinks on it. I have a thermalright ultra-90 on my Pentium-M 1.73ghz processor. Its overkill but it will also run completely passive.
