Motherboard audio is quiet
Is it normal for a motherboard to produce.. err... quiet audio?
I had an Asus P5VD2MX, I now have a Gigabyte P35-DS3P and the audio is incredibly quiet compared to how is was before. Even with wave and system volume on full it is quiet. I have installed the motherboard and audio driver.
Any ideas? :/

That is quite odd...whenever there has been a huge volume change with my computer it usually is because I didn't plug the speakers in all the way. Just a suggestion...
But usually no, the signal strength coming out of motherboard audio systems is usually pretty consistent. The quality of this signal, however, varies greatly.

I used to have quiet audio as well.
I solved the issue by using AC3 Filter (http://ac3filter.net/project/1/releases) and all I did was open up "AC3Filter Config" menu and changed the "Preset" to "Loud".
