CPU Load Line Calibration?

I do a google search and it seems about 50/50. Some review sites have it on, some have it off. I read a review of an MSI board at XBit Labs saying it kept the vcore from dropping too low.

So is there a consensus on this? Does it hurt to have it on?

If your wondering, its in relation to the following:

MSI X58m mATX motherboard
Core i7 920 @ 4ghz (20x200)
CPU Vcore: 1.18
QPI Voltage: 1.42
Dram Voltage: 1.6

http://www.anandtech.com/cpuchipsets/in ... i=3184&p=6 this article argues against LLC, and goes into nice detail about why its not safe.

vdroop is part of the intel spec, so its not inherinentely bad. That said, LLC allows you to have lower idle vcore, which results in a power saving and lower idle heat load.

Definitely arguments on both sides of the fence.
