I did a search for "T4400"
and nothing showed up!

How is this possible?

The Intel Dual-Core T4400 that is used in notebooks.
Nothing on this site about it?

Well, why should it? A laptop's noise level is very dependent on the way that laptop is manufactured, and less dependent on the specific CPU inside it. It's much more relevant to discuss a line of laptops, and within that context, it might make sense to discuss processor choices.

Alternate answer: there is now!

I hear ya.
I'm not going to get into my EMF's discussion.
But there are umpteen threads here on SPCR about the AMD CPU's; starting from the ground up and building entire systems around them.
Ditto the Pentium-M CPU. I built my current system around the P-M strictly for noise reasons.
