Mosfet cooling: which thermal pads?

Post by quest_for_silence » Mon Oct 04, 2010 1:55 am

I'd like to replace the standard thermal pads which come with TR HR-09 mosfet coolers: which ones are, in your experience, the most effective pads available?

pads? you mean heatsinks?

Or like gluing a blueberry muffin onto it?

El jefe: thermal pads are basically double sided foam tape with good thermal conductivity. They come with many CPU heatsinks. In mosfet cooling the adhesive property is necessary as there are no mounting holes or such to secure the heatsinks.

Frankly I am somewhat surprised that you were not familiar with them but hope this helps.

It's made to glue heatsinks to chips - worked great on my old nb chip that raun way too hot with the stock heatsink and pad.
