SATA cables

Post by ListysDad » Fri Mar 05, 2010 9:31 am

Hi

I'm looking to modularise my PSU. That bit I'm fine with.

To make it work however I need a source of sata power connectors already connected to cables of a decent length (e.g. 500mm) or just a source of the sata power connnectors themselves so I can solder them all up.

Can anyone point me in the right direction please? Best I can find are connectors with a 150mm flying lead!

David

Take a look at Performance PCs. If they don't have it no one does.

Thanks for that.
Sorry. Meant to say I'd much prefer a UK based suppl;ier for simplicity.

Did you ever find what you were looking for? I would like something similar. Preferably in the US.

Did find some actually. Farnells sell them - 4 & 5 pin with 500mm flying leads - at a very good price.

Can you tell me what brand they were, what model number and who makes them?

Then I can see who carries them over here.

Just google Farnell and then on their site look for SATA power. you'll be presented with a bunch of options and pictures and pick what you want.

Farnell doesn't seem to say who the manufacturers are.
