I feel for you.
But you guys have to get off the "bigger is better, let's buy a SUV that burns fuel like ten tractors combined" -tip
Maybe then somebody'll start shipping small and efficient stuff there
Now, us Europeans... our problem is that mistakenly we think anything only gets done well once and that no newer model can be better, because the older one is more robust (and really expensive!). So we get skipped 2-5 generations of improvements and when the improvements hit our shores two years late, we pay twice the price
For example, I'm really envious of US/Canadian/Australian watercooling scene. Some really good stuff is available there that never even gets a mention here.
Jest aside, this does bring up an interesting point:
There are big PSU producers in the US (or at least big distributors / subsidiaries of them).
Why don't they make a fanless PSU that offer everything for a cheaper price than the EU imports do?
I'd think there's demand for such a product, if there's enough demand in Europe for half a dozen different manufacturers.

Funny you should mention something like that. Smartis going to enter the US Market in 2006. We'll see how well it does.halcyon wrote:But you guys have to get off the "bigger is better, let's buy a SUV that burns fuel like ten tractors combined" -tip
