OCZ power supply? how quiet?

Post by Blackeagle » Sun Jul 11, 2004 4:59 pm

Just like the title, has anyone tried the OCZ new 520 watt PSU?

I've seen a add stating it's only 23dba @ 60% load,.......but how loud does it get under a larger load?

Thanks for any guidence you can offer on this. :)

I think the third review down on our front page, that of the 470watt OCZ Power Stream, might be sort of handy here.

Perchance you missed it on the front page; what did you enter into the forum search engine when you were looking for info?

Or maybe you didn't.

EDIT: Btw, unless you're running an insanely heavy load (one that probably wouldn't be all that quiet in general, what with being so heavily loaded with power-drawing drives and chips), the 470watt unit as reviewed is almost certainly sufficient for your needs. Save some money, and don't bother with the 520watt model.
