Ahanix SilenX 400 vs Seasonic S12-380

Post by nbarsotti » Wed Dec 28, 2005 8:43 am

Which power supply do you think will be quieter with a minimal load and which power supply do you think will be quieter with a high load?

Currently I have the Ahanix in a 6600GT SLI, overclocked, gaming computer and its pretty darn quite, but I suspect that it is under a high load.

My other computer is a HTPC with a low power video card, SDTV, HDTV and a couple of HDD's.

Both computer are in the same room, so it doesn't really matter much, but what PS would you put in each computer?

Thank you in advance.

the silenx only has 15A 12V rail, so put it in the lighter system (htpc), and run the seasonic (22A 12V rail) in the 6600gt SLI system.
