Done with s-12 500w plus dfi what now?
After I had my seasonic s-12 die on me I RMAed it and a week ago and still havent gotten a confirmation email.
Anyway, either I got a faulty psu, or the psu and the dfi ultra-d dont want to get along. It was working fine for about a week or two before I moved my hardware from my lian li to my p180. To make a long story short, whenever I plugged the sata power in, it would boot for 1 second and stop. And when I didnt use the sata, it would boot, but my board gave me 4 leds and it wouldnt show anything on the screen.
So my question is, what are other quiet alternative psu's besides seasonic? I'm lookin for something with at least 480w and is reliable and not too expensive (120ish?)

We have this nice and handy list called: Power Supply Fundamentals & Recommendations.
Now if you don't want to understand why SPCR recommends the PSU's they recommend, you can browse directly to page 6, where you can find the "Recommendations" part of the article. Apart from the S12's there is no PSU that fits in all your requirements. But two that fit almost. Have a look.
B.T.W. You know that your requirement of >480W is not really sensible, do you? It is a safe net called for by DFI and nVidia, because a lot of cheap and bling PSU's are not honestly rated.
