What version is my S12-430 then?

Post by TomMe » Fri May 26, 2006 3:19 am

Today I received my Seasonic S12-430 but I can't seem to make out what version it is. The label on the PSU says Rev A1 and it's non-sleeved. There is a PCIe connector included (not mounted but sepperate wire) and ADDA fan. There are 2 labels on the box stating
-120mm Double Ball Bearing Fan
-Long-lived Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitor

-Support 150W PCI Express Graphics

I thought only the Rev A3 had a PCIe connector? Maybe they updated Rev A1 versions by including this cable? I also thought that only Rev A2 had ADDA fans and new capacitors but I was probably mistaken..

I'm not sure if there even is any official revisions of the S12-330/380/430 other than the rev A1. The Seasonic SS/ST models had different revisions - isn't this rev A1/A2/A3 naming something that's been passed on to the new Seasonic line-up by chance, internally here at SPCR, to avoid confusion? Or could someone point me to a picture of a label with rev A2/A3 written on it?

I think Tephras is right.
The one I received is excactly as Tomme's.
It says rev A1 but has all the revisions they made on the 24pins cable,
adda fan, and new capacitors.

No clue then. I know the newer ones have full sleeving and a pre-attached pcie connector. What else is changed, I don't know. I don't even think they did a revison number for those supplies.

I'm sure it is since I'm from Belgium as well. I got mine from www.alternate.nl, a German based European wide webshop.

It's definitely not the latest version, since it's unsleeved. It also only has 2 SATA plugs.

Then Tephras and nina are probably both right. I bet mine is the "unofficial Rev A2" with included PCIe cable. Thanks SD-Plissken!
