Neo HE 380 and asus mobo issues

Post by andyclarson » Wed May 31, 2006 4:04 am

Hi
i have just bought a p180 case and neo he 380 power supply thinking it would be an excellent combination with my asus k8vse delux motherboard, but apparently not. It will not power more than the motherboard athlon xp 3000+ 2 sata drives the case fans and a basic 64mb graphics card. Im very disappointed because my old bog standard 400w cpu could cope with this plus 2 hard drives, 3 optical drives, pci cards and usb devices. Is there anything that can be done to sort this. i think i have version a3.1 of the power supply, serial no. s06030221659
any ideas anyone please

andy

If your system works with old PSU then the new Antec NeoHE is faulty. Look at the relevant thread, people said rev 3 and 4 should be fine, apparently not.

Call customer support 1-800-222-6832. NeoHE 380 should be able to handle more then just that.
