Hello,
I would like to know if my current system can be supported by a Fortron Zen 300W:
- ASUS A7N8X motherboard
- Samsung 160 Gb HDD
- 1 DVD
- Passive NVidia GeForce 5200
- 712 MB RAM
- AMD Burton 2500+
- Zalman CNPS 7000-AlCu LED cpu cooler
- Creative audio card
- no additional fans
Thank you very much for any response.
Best regards,
Lucian.
Is the FSP Zen powerful enough for my system?

Neil is right, but I'm concerned about the PSU overheating. You'll need good airflow or a very low ambient temperature to keep the PSU from asploding. It's hard to tell if you have either of these things, but the lack of fans is not inspiring.lucibalaj wrote: - no additional fans
should i turn on the fan?
hello,
since I have an Antec Sonata II case, should I turn on the fan?

Tricool? Switch it with a quiet fan. With a case fan running at 5V/7V, you would improve air flow greatly. Plus, a quality, quiet fan running at 5V/7V is inaudible in most environments.lucibalaj wrote:hello,

3.5' HDD noise is the most noisy component in my computer. I guess most people here is in the same league with me.

Or you could buy a PSU with a fan (the recommended section here lists good ones with quiet fans). An undervolted quiet case fan wouldn't hurt, either. But if you're happy with your temperatures, it's unnecessary.lucibalaj wrote:hello,
