Fanless PSU in a Q6600 quadcore system

I've totalled up the watts, and apparently, the maximum will be 225 watts (with GPU, CD/HD drives etc.)

My CPU is the excellent Intel Q6600 quadcore with G0 stepping (multitasking is a dream on this). It's very efficient compared to most CPUs I think. It comes with the stock Intel heatsink+fan. I usually slow it down to about 1200rpm because the G6600 can take it.

What I want to know is, can I use the Silverstone ST30NF PSU fanless PSU in this system, and not have to worry about thermal overheating?

Thanks for any insights into the matter - I love silence (wish I knew of a good silent convector heater during the winter...)

What components (other than Q6600) will be in the system ?
But generally I think that all "fanless" PSU are waste of time.

4 GB DDR2 RAM (2 x 2 GB sticks)
Fanless nVidia GeForce 9500GT 1GB
Q6600 with stock fan (can change this later maybe)
1 seagate 3.5" hard drive
1 CD/DVD drive

That's it really. The motherboard is the ASUS P5QL PRO

Actual power use of that system will be lower than 225W

I dont think that system can use more then 180W, and only if you put 100% load on CPU+GPU and your drive.
But I still don't like those fanless PSU things

A fanless PSU is not going to do anything in that system with the stock CPU cooler and that Seagate drive. In any case, even a fanless PSU needs airflow so it will also depend on the case airflow.

If your PSU is too loud, try changing the fan to a quieter one, it's a simple job and MUCH cheaper than a fanless PSU.
