cheap silent case/PSU combo: Athenatech A412BB.400
My case is Athenatech A412BB.400 Black / Silver Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case ATX 2.01v 400W Power Supply. Costs about 40 bucks on Newegg-dot-com and comes with power supply that I can't hear at all. And it looks good to me. Wish it was all silver though.
The Athenatech website lists this power supply as having 2 80mm fans. Is it really that silent?
Anyone else here has any experience with this PSU? I'm thinking of getting this case (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6811190086) and would like to know I won't have to immediately toss the power supply.
Thanks!

The PSU is not that good IMO. Has a -5V meaning that its based on older ATX specs. In addition, the manufacturer is Topower whose older PSUs, like those based on older ATX specs, tend to be of very low quality. In addition, it only has 27A on the +12V rail, pretty low for a 450W PSU considering the following:
- The Antec EA380 380W PSU has 27A on the +12V rail
- The Corsair 400CX 400W PSU and the Antec Earthwatts 430W both have 30A on the +12V rail
- The Corsair 450VX 450W PSU has 33A on the +12V rail
So with the above info, wouldn't trust the PSU.

I've realized that it's actually the 400w PSU that comes with the case - Newegg had an incorrect picture up. I thought that Topower was a pretty good OEM for a PSU? This will be powering a very low-end system - Sempron 3000+, integrated graphics, 1 HDD - so I'm not too worried about the amps rating.
Is this PSU really that low quality? And does anyone else have impressions of how quiet it is?
