My Seasonic M12 II Bronze 620W has made a dreadful buzzing noise since day one, it's easily the loudest component in my HTPC case. I've seen a number of other posts that refer to "coil whine" but generally users report that the noise gets worse as the power supply is placed under load. Mine makes a loud buzz at idle.
I've recorded the sound it makes.
What is responsible for this infernal racket? And is it worth making a warranty claim or is its replacement likely to be the same?
