Samsung 32GB SSD - Can't FDisk or Format, please help?
I just received my new Samsung 32GB SSD. I am hoping to replace the 30GB hard drive in my lap top.
In order to do this, I am trying to use a 2.5" HD to USB adaptor to copy the HD drives. However, when I connect the Samsung 32GB SSD to the 2.5" USB HD enclosure, windows recognizes the hardware, and installs the driver, and says 'new hardware installed and ready to use'. But I can't access the Samsung SSD with Administrative Tools (to FDisk) or through any other means. It times out after about 5 to 10 minutes of trying to connect to the "Logical Disk Manager".
Any help?

I will, when I get it working. The drive seems fine. I'm having trouble replicating my corporate managed HD onto the flash. I'm using Casper Xp, but the corporate managed HD uses 2 partitions and other wierd stuff I've never seen.Schlotkins wrote:Could you post some HDTach benchmarks?
Thanks!

That sucks - corporations will get you like that. I am still hoping these babies come down in price over the next few months.CraigB wrote:I will, when I get it working. The drive seems fine.
