Samsung 160gb in Canada

Does anyone know where you can find one of the 160gb Samsung models in Canada (preferably Toronto or Cdn mail order)? Thanks.

Thanks. I may go with the Montreal shop that has a decent price on the SP1604N.

But if anyone knows where the SP1614N is available in Canada, please let me know.

Actually, if the Canadian store doesn't specifically list whether the drive has 2MB or 8MB cache you may want to try calling up the ppl with the SP1604N to see if it might be the 8MB version.

If you check Samsung.ca, the drives sold in Canada should use SP1203N and SP1604N model numbers for both 2MB and 8MB drives.

Of course I dunno how accurate the site is. I emailed them before about availability of the 80GB version (because it isn't even listed on their website), and they told me the 80GB version isn't even sold in Canada yet, though several retailers actually have the 80GB drive. Possibly these stores are supplied from outside Canada, which would explain the discripancy.

It looks like all these Canadian sources for the 160gb Samsung are selling the 2mb cache version. Hopefully the 8mb cache edition will be available soon. I haven't tried calling Samsung to locate one yet but maybe that's worth a try.
