I have a CM cosmos 1000.
My fans and graphics card are barely audible, the only problem is a i got the dreaded hum from the HDD vibrations.
I m using SSDs for my main drive and I m looking to purchase 2 HDs for raid storage.
Due to the design of the CM cosmos HDD mounting slot, I will not be able to use a HDD dampener.
Therefore, I need to buy HDDs that have low vibration levels.
so far, I am considering WD Caviar green or hitachi laptop HDD
any input will be appreciated.
buying HDDs based on vibration levels, recommendation?

other than what you could gather from the recommended hard drives list; i would suggest suspension in the 5.25" bays. nothing beats it, and then you can select from a larger pool of drives.
laptop hdds should vibrate less, just as a rule... you'll probably be safe getting something lower than 7.2k rpm
that said... you could probably suspend a laptop drive in one of the cosmos' hdd caddies. that'd be taking it to the next level.
