Grtz
The SP1213N is a 120GB drive.
The (phantom) SP0812N is the 80GB drive in this serires.
The SP1614N is a 160GB drive.
Detect a pattern in Samsung's model number sequence?
PhilgB - To answer your original question a different way: The drives are identical except for capacity. The SP80 series uses 80GB platters. The SP1213N and the SP1614N both use 2 80GB platters, the 160GB version uses the full capacity of both platters (4 sides and 4 heads). The 120GB version uses the full capacity of one platter and only one side of the other platter (3 sides and 3 heads).
And I thought the SP1213N had one 80GB platter and one 40GB platter.Ralf Hutter wrote:No.Kris wrote:SP1213N : 80GB, 8MB cache, 7200 rpm
