So I have this 7200 rpm 2.5" Scorpio Black HDD.
It is attached to a caddy that normally slides without any rubbers into a bracket but I took some none-elastic cord and at least hung the thing without direct fixed attachment, ie. it hangs from the ropes and that generally is quiet enough to not pass through too many vibes to the case.
But I find that the thing will still buzz and I think it is mostly due to the SATA cable.
No picture yet, but the HDD makes so much noise that if the sata cable is curved against the case panel it will definitely cause the case to vibrate.
Now I am trying to route the sata cable through holes in the bracket but still the same thing.
Any general guidance here?

Bracket means cage.
The most annoying part is that one day it might not make any noise and the next it does because some cable got moved 0.5 mm .
There is very little room between the caddy and the cage (bracket) so you have something like
and if everything is perfect the thing is suspended midway but if everything is not perfect it will touch one of the sides .
