Has anyone tried this product?

Looks interesting and at a pretty fair price if it works. Available for 1 drive too.

Look at the chart at the bottom of your link

"For the noise reduction of the individual plates after the installation in the damming box the following could be determined:

Laufgeraeusch Access noise

Western digitally WD400 Protégé strongly reduces inaudibly
Western digitally Caviar 20ÄA clearly more quietly hardly audibly
Max gate Fireball 541 DX clearly more quietly smaller
Max gate dia. moon max minimum more quietly hardly reduces
Samsung VG3432Á strongly reduces clearly smaller
Samsung spin POINT SV1203N no difference no difference
Seagate Barracuda IV minimum more quietly hardly reduces "

The enclosure has more of an effect on the louder drives and makes "no difference" with the spinpoint

EDIT: oh wait, that's an older spinpoint

Um, yeah; that's a 5400rpm SpinPoint.
