Which Quiet 250-GIG Drive?

Post by Blade » Sun Feb 20, 2005 9:39 am

As title really... Looking for a new 250-GIG drive, thats nice and quiet...

Currently looking at Western Digital UIDE/Caviar/Seagate Baracuda 7200.8/Hitachi Vancouver, that sort of price range...

What should I be looking for?

Cheers
Rich

Tom's Hardware Guide has very good things to say about Western Digital's new 320GB drive. It's a bit larger than 250GB, but I'm sure you'll find a way to fill the space. ;) The review's conclusion says this is one of the fastest, quietest, and coolest drives around. The PATA version is going for $200 these days and the SATA version should be out soon.
