SMART temp readings through PCI SATA card?

Post by Cosine » Wed Aug 10, 2005 8:50 am

I've got a couple 400GB Seagate drives hooked up to a Highpoint RocketRAID 1520 PCI SATA card, I would like to monitor the drive temps but none of the programs I have tried can see these drives, they see the two SATA drives that are on the motherboard headers fine. Anyone know a way to get a reading off of these?

As far as I know, it is not possible to read SMART readings from drives in a hardware RAID array.
