tips on insulating present hds on budget?

Post by phorrj » Mon Nov 21, 2005 7:22 pm

was wondering if anyone may have any idea on how to insulate a hd from the bay mounts in an attempt to make it a bit quieter without spending too much money at all?

thanks :D

Arts and crafts stores have foam for less than $2. Alternatively, just use a small towel you have in the house.

WELCOME TO SPCR !

You can buy some elastic cord in any sewing shop and suspend them, it's better than isolating them. There are many suspension threads in this forum and most of them cost about 1-2$ to implement with some ingeniousity. Of course, if you can do both, suspend and isolate, it's even better.
