Problems with vibrating hdd
My hdd is shaking the case even suspended
Tried disk silencers, homemade suspension and stil no help
Any other sugestiond?
Drive is hitachi 7k250 ata100, AAM is on lowest possible value(128). How to set APM? Will that help
Thanx
Ps case is antec 3000b,hdd is located in 5.25" bay, in 3.5"bax it constantly produsin mrtal scratching sounds

Like this(this is not my case but it is the same method)
I rellocated it back in 3.5" bay thightend it with 3 rubber grimets and is kinda better(so far )

I was curious as to how tight the elastic was in your suspension. It didn't look like there was any droop due to the weight of the drive.
As you can imagine, if the suspension still has some elastic "give" in it when the drive is suspended, it will do a better job of isolating the drive's vibrations. The opposite goes for if the elastic is overly firm (too high a "shore" rating): too tight should result in more vibration transmitted.
Just a few thoughts and observations from my own suspension follies.
